Below is a list of frequently asked questions regarding our Funeral Plans. We hope these answers provide the information you require, if not then feel free to call or contact us with your questions.
Q - What if I can’t pay now for the total cost of my plan?
You may pay over 36 monthly instalments by direct debit at no extra charge.
Q - What if I live to 100?
This is not a problem the plan will still be in place.
Q - Why should I choose your funeral plan?
Because we are an independent Family Owned Funeral Directors who will provide the highest standards of personal service.
Q - Are you regulated?
We are Registered Providers with the Funeral Planning Authority and abide by their code of practice.
Q - What happens to the money I pay for my funeral plan?
All monies less the membership fee are paid over to the HSBC Trust Company (UK) Limited who are the Custodian Trustees.
Q - What are the other funeral expenses?
They are fees paid by the Funeral Director to other people, including Doctors, Ministers, Churches, Crematorium and Burial authorities.
Q - How can I be sure you will still be available when I need you?
The funeral is guaranteed by Lodge Bros. (Funerals) Ltd, established as Funeral Directors since approximately 1780.
Q - Is the fixed price still guaranteed if I die before completing the payment installment plan?
Yes, provided the outstanding balance is paid prior to the day of the funeral.
Q - Does the Funeral Plan guarantee that my family will have nothing further to pay in the future?
Once you have paid for your selected Funeral Plan, everything specified on your plan paperwork will be provided without extra charge and with nothing more to pay in the future. However, if you were to move from the address stated in the plan, additional fees may apply. Unfortunately some of these fees are out of our control. Alternatively you would be entitled to a full refund less the membership fee. Should your family wish to add services to your funeral eg. Limousines, Flowers, A Church Service these would be arranged at the rate current at that time in the future.
Q - Can I cancel my Funeral Plan?
A full refund will be made if you choose to cancel your plan within 28 days after payment. After this period a full refund is made less the membership fee.
